They just took 15-20 seconds of ad space to say “A moment of silence for the victims of what happened in Charleston and their families. Our hearts go out to them.”

I really appreciate that they took time for that. Their Look Different website and commercials are also an awesome campaign.

While I commend them for doing this, they seem to err a bit much towards the anti-cop, fuel a race war narrative lately.

Between commercials they’ll have a blip come up that says “so and so was killed today, a black unarmed man” then the next screen “by a white cop” then their hash tag. One thing to put the news out there but they’re definitely playing the media game a but much.

While taking 15sec out for that is pretty cool. MTV hasn’t been awesome since the 90’s.
